Summary: I had to take a double-look at my distance on this one realizing that I had a similar workout last week, but it looks like I made slightly better time on this one. That makes me happy. It was cool crisp evening, and I had to walk with my flashlight on. Too many people getting hit on the road while biking, walking, or jogging, so I'm trying to be extra careful. I think the neighbors are getting suspicious of a person walking fast or jogging in the dark around their neighborhood. The cool air helped with the breathing portion of the run as the smoke wasn't as thick in the air. I was able to pace myself a little better than the week before. Trying to pay more attention as to how my foot hits the ground too. I'd say I had a little success tonight.

Exercise: Fast paced walking, stretching, plank, push-ups, squats

Summary: I sure do enjoy my weekends, and love sleeping in. Hard to get motivated again, but I'm doing it. If only my walk looked like the above scenery, it would be so much more easy to get up and out! But it doesn't, so I enjoyed the trees around my area which included some pine trees. Love the scent of those trees! Even though I enjoyed getting out this afternoon, I had a hitch in my giddy-up today. Don't know what I did, but I hurt something in my right foot. I kept on pushing myself but not as fast as I did the day before.
I don't have pretty feet regardless of whatever is going on (surgery on both feet when I was 12 left me with ugly scarring), but you can see the swelling around the ankle area and where the metatarsals are located. Used aspercreme with lidocaine, and it did help a little bit with the pain. I'm a little disappointed in this setback, as I was feeling like would push myself to a 14:45 pace today. I'll give it a rest and try it again this evening.

Exercise: Stretching, squats, fast paced walking

Summary: After resting for the afternoon, I did some squats but no planks or push-ups as I didn't want to put any pressure on the ankle that was hurting earlier. I gave it my best shot tonight. I had my son follow me in my vehicle just in case I needed a lift back to the house. I pushed hard, and my breathing was even better, but that ankle just needs a little more rest. So hopefully, by Wednesday, I can get to the 14:45 mark, or at least 15:15 pace. A little more Aspercreme with lidocaine before I hit the hay. Have to work this one out. I did have neighbors pull up to my vehicle to see if we were ok though. I think they were more curious about an old woman jogging down the street with a vehicle following her with flashers on in the dark. Hey, I didn't make the time change and I'm not here to stake out your house. I experience so many adventures on my walks.
